By booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms of Service. We look forward to providing you with excellent service.
Required Card on File
All billing is handled electronically through our trusted third-party payment processor, Stripe. For your security:
We do not have access to your full payment method details
Your card will be securely stored on file
Charges are processed automatically after each cleaning
Receipts are sent to the email address on file
A valid payment method is required to maintain active service. We reserve the right to cancel services if a valid card is not on file.
Card Authorization Hold
A temporary authorization hold for the total service amount will be placed on your card 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
This is not a charge
If the hold fails, we may cancel the service
You will be notified via text, call, or email if action is required
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
24 hours’ notice is required.
We understand that plans change. However, late cancellations directly impact our cleaners’ schedules and earnings.
The following fees apply:
Less than 24 hours’ notice: $50 fee
Same-day cancellation: $100 fee
All fees are charged to the card on file.
Cleaner Reassignment Policy
Nova Lux Cleaning LLC reserves the right to reassign cleaners as needed, including for recurring or one-time services. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance whenever possible.
Complaints & Service Issues
All service-related complaints must be submitted within 24 hours of service completion to qualify for resolution.

Right to Terminate or Refuse Service
Nova Lux Cleaning LLC reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at any time for reasons including, but not limited to:
Safety concerns
Weapons on premises
Severe clutter or unsanitary conditions
Disconnected utilities, including water, electricity, heat, or air conditioning
Inappropriate or threatening behavior
Unable to access the property at the time of service
We do not clean or perform services involving:
Hoarder homes
Biohazards, including feces, urine, blood, vomit, drug paraphernalia, or similar hazards
Pest infestations
Tall ladder work over 3 steps
Hazardous or unsafe conditions
If a home is deemed unsafe or unreasonable upon arrival, cleaners may leave and applicable cancellation fees will apply.
Cleaning Day Preparation
Cleaning prices assume cleaners can focus fully on cleaning. Please ensure:
Floors, countertops, and surfaces are accessible
Personal clutter is picked up beforehand
Pets are secured if necessary
Access instructions are provided before arrival
This helps ensure quality and efficiency.
Use of Homeowner’s Vacuum
If you request that we use your vacuum:
We assume no liability for damage to the unit
We are not responsible for repairs
If the vacuum is non-functional, vacuuming services may not be completed
Unreachable Areas & Heavy Items
For safety reasons, our cleaners do not:
Use tall ladders
Move heavy furniture
Lift or move heavy appliances
Please move appliances or furniture ahead of time if you would like areas behind or underneath cleaned.
Non-Solicitation Agreement
Clients agree not to solicit, hire, or contract any Nova Lux Cleaning LLC employee or contractor during service and for two (2) years following termination.
Violation results in:
$3,000 liquidated damages fee
Immediate service termination
No refund obligation
This does not limit our right to pursue additional legal remedies.
Changes to Requested Services
All service changes must be approved by Nova Lux Cleaning LLC prior to the appointment.
Cleaners are not authorized to approve changes
All requests must go through our office
Changes should be submitted by 5:00 PM the day before your cleaning
If a cleaning service is booked for an incorrect number of bedrooms and/or bathrooms, or incorrect property information was provided, Nova Lux Cleaning LLC will contact you to adjust the booking fee

If we miss something:
Notify us within 24 hours
Provide photos of the missed areas
We will return to re-clean the affected areas
Claims submitted after 24 hours may fall outside the warranty period.
We are not responsible for damage due to:
Pre-existing wear and tear
Improper installation
Incorrect usage
Loose fixtures
Damaged, aged, or delicate surfaces
Hourly Cleaning Services
Hourly services are based solely on time purchased.
Completion of all tasks is not guaranteed
The satisfaction guarantee does not apply to hourly services
Additional time may be purchased if needed, subject to availability
Flat-Rate Pricing
Flat rates assume a reasonable level of cleanliness.
If additional time is required:
You will be contacted for approval
You may approve additional time or set priorities
Prices will never be increased without your approval.
Arrival Windows
Arrival windows are approximately 2 hours, such as:
8–10 AM
10–12 PM
12–2 PM
2–4 PM
Delays due to traffic, weather, cancellations, lockouts, or other unexpected circumstances will be communicated promptly.

Nova Lux Cleaning LLC does not operate on the following holidays:

Father’s Day
Independence Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Day
If your service falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule.
Services Not Offered
We do not provide:
Wet wiping of light bulbs
Floor refinishing or waxing
Upholstery cleaning
Biohazard removal
Large furniture moving
Large-scale trash removal
Full wall washing
Mold remediation
Pest removal
Exterior window cleaning
Post-construction debris removal, unless specifically agreed in writing
Communication & Payment Responsibility
Clients must keep contact information up to date
All charges and holds apply to the card on file
Failure to pay may result in service termination or legal action
Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and materials remain the exclusive property of Nova Lux Cleaning LLC.
Third-Party Websites
We are not responsible for third-party websites linked through our service. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to services at any time without notice for violations of these terms.

Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
We make no warranties, express or implied.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States law.
